Puppy Kindergarten class: Our program of early training is a very gentle, positive
approach to learning and problem solving.
* Classes are open to puppies 9-16 weeks of age
* Classes meet 1 hour per week for 6 weeks
* You must have veterinary proof of current vaccinations
During this critical socialization period of your puppy’s life, they learn life-long ways of relating to their
world.
It is important that they be exposed to as many positive experiences
as possible.
In our fun and structured classes, your puppy will have the opportunity to play with other puppies
and interact
with many different people.
We also introduce your puppy to basic commands such as sit, down, stand, stay and come. All obedience commands
are taught
on a level that is appropriate for young pups.
During this 6 week session, you will have many opportunities to ask questions you may have about your pup’s behavior
and other
common behavior problems.
We will help you build
a trusting and responsive relationship with your puppy.
Adolescent
Puppy class:
Adolescent Puppy class bridges the gap between puppy class and basic obedience class. Your teenage puppies still
get theopportunity
to play with their canine friends. We also add in self control and leash manners. We help you and your puppy get
through the tough time of
being a teenager. Pup learns to come to you out of play, and focus on you when he's on the leash. Just like human
teenagers, adolescent canines
don't concentrate for long periods of time, so we combine fun and play with more serious training.
Obedience Class:
Our Basic Obedience class provides you with the tools to respectfully get your dog
on the same page with you.
Our gentle methods make learning enjoyable for you and your pup.
These classes help you develop better communication and a stronger bond with your dog. Obedience classes
are the first step
toward that well mannered companion you were hoping for when you
got your pet.
Basic Obedience classes are open to dogs 5 months of age
and up who have shown no signs of aggression.
Intermediate and Advanced
Obedience Class:
These classes start you on the path to hands
free control of your dog.
In these classes we concentrate on the dog focusing on you, and you maintaining verbal control
of your pet.
Intermediate and advanced classes are open to dogs who have completed the basic course and are ready
for greater challenges.
* Classes meet 1 hour per week for 6 consecutive weeks
*
You must have veterinary proof of current vaccinations.
We also discuss common problem behavior prevention and
problem solving in all of our classes.
Rally Class:
Rally Obedience is a fun, challenging class for dogs who have successfully
completed Basic Obedience class. Rally is a competitive sport in the dog world.
Here at The Educated
Pet we teach Rally for fun and focus. This is an ideal class for the dog who is easily distracted. Our fun and challenging
courses establish team work
between you and your dog.
Canine Good Citizen Class:
Canine Good Citizen Class takes you and your dog out into the real world. We prepare
you and your canine best friend to take
the American Kennel Club canine good citizen test. We put all
of the obedience and manners work that you have been teaching
your pet to the test in public.
In this fun class we visit parks, shopping centers, restaurants adn many other public venues.
Shy and Fearful Class:
Do
you have a shy dog? Acanine "Mr. Chichen"? This is the class for you. We work with you and your furry pal to develop
coping skills
for handling these fears. We
help you teach Fido to be more confident and trusting.
